Do you have singing dreams or singing delusions?

I had delusions that were masquerading as dreams.

In this episode I'll let you in on some personal delusions and what a relief it was to have some light shed on them. Even if it by someone who didn't mean to do it.

I'll share how once I got congruent with my vocal desires and my real voice, my progress accelerated immediately.

I'll share how having a dream that is actually a delusion holds us back as singers. It's like driving a car with one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake!

There are also some takeaways for you that you can use as tools to assist you if this resonates with you in any way.

Realizing I had been calling a delusion a dream was a huge relief for me.

As always, I'm really honest in this episode and I hope that brings you value.

Even if you don't feel like this describes you, I encourage you to be open and listen. I t may resonate as true for someone you know.

Enjoy!

In this episode I'll tell you about my worst audition ever!

First, I'm going to tell you about it and then I'm going to reverse engineer it to show you how I set myself up for it.

I'll go into the consequences of that "choice" and what may be done to shift into another place with it so that awareness can create new choices in the future.

It's a really good episode so please enjoy!

We have a choice as to whether or not we will love and accept our voice - now.

That is not to say that we don’t do all that we can to improve in every way. It simply means what it says: that we have a choice to love or not like our voice as it is now.

In other words, no matter where we are with our singing, technique, style, performing etc., we can choose to accept and even love our voice and the process we’re in.

All of this can be done now, before we are as good as we want to be.

The idea that getting better at singing or improving our voice will make us happy is far from true.

I have so many stories of amazing singers who were miserable.

Listen to how you can make the choice to enjoy your voice now and propel yourself forward in your singing.

This episode of the Inner Singer Podcast explains what the Inner Singer actually is. It is not just a negative influence but it is also responsible for all the positive things that are occurring in your singing. All the things you are doing well.

You’ll explore how much you identify with your voice.

When you’re singing well are you happy? When you’re not singing well are you upset?

Is your identity wrapped up in how well you sing?

Mine sure was.

Discover how to use mindfulness as a way to create some distance between you and the negative self-talk and beliefs and create more choice.
